We are excited to introduce Mr. Matt Koutz as our new School Success Mentor and Athletic Director. Matt has been working in education since earning his degree in elementary education from University of Phoenix in 2010. Most recently, he has worked as an elementary physical education teacher at Vestaburg Schools where he also coached middle school basketball. The thing he loves most about working with young people is watching them grow and develop.
Matt has always had a love of sports. He began coaching youth sports while he was still in high school when he was a volunteer coach. He has coached basketball, softball, baseball, football and even soccer at various levels. He also spent time as the assistant to the athletic director at Great Lakes Christian College.
In his personal life, he stays equally busy. He has been married to the love of his life Nicole for 28 years. They stay busy with their 6 children. They are also looking forward to welcoming their first grandchild this coming Spring.
Matt is most looking forward to meeting the Fulton community and sharing his passion for athletics and education with a new team. Plus, he has quietly admitted that he has always wanted to be a PIRATE! But then again who hasn’t. Matt is going to be a great addition to our team and we are excited to have him join us. Mr. Koutz first day on the job will be Monday, December 2nd. Please join us in welcoming him when you see him at an event, at school or out in the community.

PTO Reminder - Fundraiser pick up today

This is another reminder that Fulton Schools will not be in session on Friday, November 15th, due to the opening day of firearms deer season. Good luck and be safe if you are hunting.
Enjoy your long weekend with family. See everyone on Monday, November 18th.

Mrs. Hustin's and Mrs. Warren's 1st grade students celebrated the book "Stone Soup" today in class, by making their own version of stone soup. (without real stones of course!) It filled the halls with wonderful smells and excitement for reading. As well the office staff's stomachs, we appreciate being included!

The elementary school would like to send a thank you out to Fulton Schools retiree George Grandchamp. He graciously took the time to hand carve a "parrot pirate" for the elementary school principals office. You truly are an outstanding artist!

Mrs. Bodine is looking for newspapers for an upcoming Art project. If you have any newspapers laying around that you would like to donate please contact the elementary school to set up a time to drop them off. Mrs. Bodine is looking for "traditional newsprint" for this project, glossy finished paper like magazines will not work. Thanks for advance for your donations. We appreciate it.

Good morning Fulton Elementary Families. This is just a reminder that we will not have school on Friday, Nov. 15th. Please plan accordingly.

Our lost and found at the elementary school is getting full. We are planning to clear it out on Friday, Nov. 15th. Please have your student check for any of their missing items between now and then. Parents are welcome to check for items between 7:45 and 8:00 daily, or after 3:05.

Thank You to our entire Fulton Community for your support of our Sinking Fund initiative. We value and take very seriously the trust you all have placed in us.

Mrs. Rench's class enjoyed Mr. Reynolds reading in their classroom yesterday. They loved his silly voices! Mr. Reynolds even brought them all a birthday treat to celebrate Mrs. Rench's birthday.

Our youngest Fulton Pirate Preschool students wanted to remind you all to vote today!

This is a reminder that tomorrow is picture retake day at the elementary school. If you would like your student to participate in retakes, please let your student and classroom teacher know.

Thanks to everyone who donated to our Socktober!

November is Homeless Awareness Month. The elementary student council wants to help bring awareness of homelessness and housing insecurity in our communities. That’s why we’re partnering with United Way to raise money for Gratiot County Hope House through a coin war challenge called “Coins for a Cause”!
United Way is committed to matching all funds raised (up to $10,000) so now’s your chance to double your donation! Students can bring in their spare change during November. The classroom that raises the most money will win a pizza party from United Way!🍕

Fulton Elementary would like to thank all of our volunteers who helped make yesterday's Carnival a success, without your continued support we couldn't provide these great events for students. I would also like to thank Mrs. Warren and Mrs. Hustin for all the work they did to organize the event. Additionally, it was great to see Community Service Trooper Rogers in attendance today, our future law officers (and some escapees) enjoyed getting a picture with him.
